Coffee is transformed into a biomaterial, with which design objects are made, thanks to 3D printing technology, becoming the concrete symbol that the Circular Economy is possible and advantageous.

Project presented at the second edition of the Call of the Municipality of Milan “FabriQ fourth 2019 - Neighborhood innovation” , coming out as the winner with the aim of enhancing three districts of Milan, Bovisa, Dergano and Villapizzone, and proposing a local solution to the problem of recycling organic materials.

The Co.ffee Era project , born with the aim of developing a Local Circular Economy Model, involves the whole community with the creation and sale of sustainable design products.

Co.ffee Era has thus activated a network of local economies and promoted a cultural paradigm based on sustainability, showing the virtuous circle and the "alternative" path to landfill that coffee waste , produced by the bars and restaurants in the area, can take .

The outcome of this project was the creation of a Sustainability District , in which synergies between the various resources help to train and inform on issues of sustainability and social collaboration.
