- OUR MISSION -

A valuable recycling

Krill Design proposes a Green Economy model that combines the
need for innovative management of the waste recycling process and the creation of new materials and products.

We breathe new life into organic by-products from companies by turning them into REKRILL®, biodegradable and compostable biopolymers that replace traditional plastics. An innovative new raw material that is 100% natural.

We believe that technological innovation and creativity are the right recipe for implementing an ecological transition that is necessary for the good of the planet we live on.

- THE MATERIAL -

REKRILL®

We have patented an innovative material called REKRILL®: 100% recycled, biodegradable and compostable.

We can process different types of homogeneous organic waste such as peels, shells, seeds, coffee grounds, as well as wool, cotton and leather.

A second raw material capable of enhancing the by-products of the agribusiness and textile industries, thus becoming the concrete realization of a new production culture.

REKRILL® materials encapsulate a history of circular economy and sustainability.

- REKRILL IMPACT -

Our sustainability report

In terms of equivalent kilograms of CO2 emissions, REKRILL® has a very low cabon footprint compared to the most common plastics of petrochemical origin, such as polycarbonate (PC), ABS or polypropylene (PP).

REKRILL®: 1.74 kg CO2 eq/Kg REKRILL®

PC (PolyCarbonate): 6.00 Kg CO2 eq/Kg PC
ABS: 5.29 kg CO2 eq/Kg ABS
PP (PolyPropylene): 4.44 Kg CO2 eq/Kg PP

Through our process we achieve 7 goals of the UN Agenda 2030.

- SECTORS -

Applications of REKRILL®

Our REKRILL® biomaterials can be used for the manufacture of different types of products in various fields.

Their technical characteristics and performance set them apart from bioplastics on the market today, making them suitable for various application areas and for durable goods.
